Teachers Health is the health fund for the education community and their families.  

Created by teachers for teachers over 65 years ago to offer health insurance to the education community, Teachers Health is now the largest industry-based health fund in Australia, covering the lives of over 360,000 teachers, education staff and their families. 

As a not-for-profit health fund, Teachers Health focuses on what matters most – supporting the health and wellbeing of their members, not delivering payouts to shareholders. They also give back to the education and broader community through scholarships, sponsorships and health and wellbeing programs.  

Health and wellbeing support is available for eligible members through Teachers Healthcare Services. Support is available for a range of services linked to hospital treatment, pregnancy and birth or managing your physical and/or mental health. 

Teachers Health also operates Teachers Health Centres across NSW, VIC and SA. These health centres provide quality dental and eyecare services and access to a range of member offers.

Teachers Health is an industry-based health fund. 

You may be eligible to join if you’re:

  • A current or former teacher, academic or admin/support staff, and
  • A current or former member of a relevant union.

Relatives of eligible members can also join.
